Justin and Shelby

This is Justin. He's a dear friend. We went to a comedy show that his cousin was in. Isn't that stache SUH-WEEEEEEEEEEEETTT?!?!?!!!

Blessing Day for Bosytn the Beautiful Babe!

Sorry about the abuse of alliteration there.....

Here's Ashley Poopy Pants and her sweet angel faced baby girl, Bostyn. Happy blessing day!

Tin Foil Dinners and Roasted Starbursts!

Last week a group of us went up Big Cottonwood for a little getaway. We had tin foil dinners, s'mores and roasted Starbursts. If you've never roasted a Starburst, you're missing out!!

I learned a trick from Jacob about preparing the tinfoil dinner... put a layer of cabbage between your food and the foil. It will keep it from burining. It works. I had steak, potatoes, fresh green beans, mushrooms, onions, corn of the cob, carrots, and seasonings in my tinfoil dinner and mmmMMMMmmmm, it was GOOD!
This is the crew. It was a lot of fun, the weather was PERFECT!

Dear sweet Nicole

These are three of my favorite friends. Jen a.k.a South, Nicole a.k.a Richie, and Christin a.k.a Buck or Bucky or Buck Wild. They all served in the same mission in Nauvoo (that's where the last name thing comes in).
In the middle of August Richie and Peedy (not in this pic) were at another mission companion/roommate's wedding in Atlanta, GA. On the way to the reception they were in a horrific car accident. The young man in the back seat next to Richie was killed and she and Peedy were taken to the hospital.
They're both home now and doing VERY well. Peedy came to church last week and Richie is coming up to SL from her parent's house next weekend for a slumber party.
This picture was taken just after South gave Richie her new haircut. Because Richie had brain surgery her LONG blonde hair had to be cut off. I think she pulls it off beautifully.
These girls are sooooo much fun and it was amazing to see the outpouting of love and support given to Peedy and Richie after the accident. I'm lucky to have such great friends!

My Favorite Favorite Time of Year

Autumn (also known as fall in North American English) is one of the four temperate seasons. Autumn marks the transition from summer into winter, usually in late September (northern hemisphere) or late March (southern hemisphere) when the arrival of night becomes noticeably earlier

Bah-Utiful! I'd love to have such a party in the fall- dinner party, wedding party, birthday party... anything really.
I think I need this skirt and the tights that go with it.
MmmmMMMmmmmmmm....
Crunchy leaves and the crisp fall air- Nothn' better!

All In a Day's Work

Below are a few of the projects I've worked on in the last year. The salon/spa is finally done and hopefully I'll get some finished shots soon. You wonder about the glamorous life of an interior designer...? Well, wonder no more! (PS, formatting the text with the pictures like this is a pain. I'm sticking to "Center" for my photo placement from now on.)

The "Tranquility Room" on the spa side. Now we have beautiful beaded wall covering on the white wall you can see here.

This is the salon side on installation day.

I did the custom cabinetry design and new layout of my mom's once TINY kitchen. It's almost done in this shot and since, the floor has been redone and you'd never know it was patched.

The crystal knobs on the wall cabinets are my favorite part.

The powder room of a residential project I'm working on. The homeowner's added on to their home and things are looking great- almost done.

Sick Baby

I went to visit Victoria on Thursday and it turns out she wasn't feeling very well. Andrea and I took her temperature and the pediatrician said to take her to Primary Children's. With a fever of 100.9 and having not been eating very well that day Jeff and Andrea took her right away. The poor little 35 day old baby had a UTI. Sad. She's ok now after a weekend in the hospital.

A Success!

For the last year I've been the Enrichment Counselor in my ward's Relief Society presidency. It's quite a task let me tell you. As my final act in this position we decided to make 150 72 hour kits for the sisters in our ward. That was a serious Sam's Club shopping trip!!

150 kits later we did it!!

A great Sabbath activity

So, a few Sundays ago I was at my parents' house having a nice little BBQ with the fam and my sister Krystal mentioned that she was going to have her friend Alex shave her head into a mohawk. That's all it took... I was in. I immediately volunteered to do the job.

Riley and Little Shelby are watching very closely.

Doesn't she look great!! It's only slightly crooked but you'd never know it.

Neice #2: Victoria

Victoria Aja Hurley is here (well, she's been here for about a month now). Just over 6lbs. and 21" Tall. She's only a few days old here.
